View on new market in exhibition "Neva'2009"

At the end of September, along with over 600 other participants, „Baltija“ Shipbuilding Yard participated at the 10th anniversary exhibition “Neva’2009”, which took place in St. Petersburg. "Neva'2009" is an exhibition, which ranks fourth among the world civil maritime exhibitions and focuses on shipbuilding and ship repair industry, navigation and port facilities. This year "Neva'2009" hosted participants from 37 countries of the world. „Baltija“ Shipbuilding Yard shared a 20 m2 exhibition space with “Loksa” Shipbuilding Yard from Estonia, a former member of Odense Steel Shipyard Ltd. The exhibition material, presented by “Baltija” in "Neva'2009", highlighted experience gained in turn-key shipbuilding activities; the stands displayed built tugs, supply ships, fishing trawlers. In four exhibition days the stand of “Baltija” attracted numerous visitors. Our company, located in a strategically attractive place, was interesting not only of individual visitors but also of potential buyers. “Baltija” received proposals from several Russian companies for cooperation in shipbuilding field. A lot of important contacts were established with Russian companies, which offer their services for the supply of equipment components, i.e. engines, thrusters, pumps, valves, furniture, automatic equipment and other. „Baltija“ Shipbuilding Yard is planning to take constant part in other most popular shipbuilding exhibition: SMM in Hamburg and Nor Shipping in Oslo. |
