“Baltija” returns to newbuilding market

On the 2nd of July, 2009 between “Baltija” Shipbuilding Yard and the client from Denmark was signed a contract for construction of hull for fishing vessel.
Hull weight – about 2000 tons. For production of the hull will be used not only normal steel but also stainless steel and aluminium materials.
Also there will be done a special surface treatment - metallization, and special isolation with foam. Fishing trawler to the client will be delivered partly outfitted.
“Baltija” will install major equipment such as: bow and stern thrusters; rudder-propeller; main engine; shaft line; reductor; shaft generator etc. Also there will be mounted
various piping systems.
Implementation of the order will take 9 months from October of 2009 till July of 2010. This big new order is very important for “Baltija”, because it will significantly
increase 2010 order book.
