The traditional festival of “Baltija” took place

Almost 2000 people took part in the traditional “Baltija” summer festival. Everyone, who came, spent time perfectly in the J. Gervaitenes village cottage. Interesting entertainments were waiting the “Baltija” workers in the festival. Everyone who wished to do so could play basketball, take part in the competition of jogging with huge diapers, engage in carps fishing, archery and so on.

People had fun when the band “Bavaria” and other musicians were playing in the evening. Children were cared for by joyful cabin-boys. General director of “Baltija” Viktoras Stulpinas congratulated all gathered with the festival, holidays, and specially congratulated all the most experienced workers of the shipyard. In 2006 “Baltija” had no common summer holidays. This year the system of common holidays was re-introduced, because it proved to be popular and successful.
