First blocks for Aker Yards, Turku delivered

On the 16th of December the first grand block Nr. 610 was delivered to the company Aker Yards, Turku. The block was composed of three parts – the right and the left sides and the central part. The total weight of the steel block was 808 tonnes.

These blocks were made for “Genesis” type Cruise ship. Three blocks – 920, 950 and 980 – will be built for the order Nr. 1363 at “Baltija” too. Two blocks of three will be painted. The delivery of blocks is planned in April. The workforce output on these blocks was high; there were no complications and the customer was satisfied with the quality of production.
