“Baltija” participated in construction of the biggest cruise liner (project “Genesis”)

In March 2009 “Baltija” Shipbuilding Yard successfully finished project for STX Europe (formerly Aker Yards, Turku). “Baltija” produced steel blocks for two world’s largest cruise ships “Oasis of the Seas” and “Allure of the Seas” which are constructed in accordance with “Genesis” design. Total weight of blocks built for the project at BSY was 3502 t.

The Oasis class surpassed the earlier Freedom class as the world's largest passenger ships. The length of ships will be 360 m, beam – 47 m, height above water line – 65 m. Oasis class vessels will carry up to 5,400 passengers.
